Step into Serenity: Eurobodalla’s New Nature Wellness Walk
We are thrilled to share that the Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Garden has officially launched their Nature Wellness Walk. More than 70 Friends of the Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Garden (ERBG), staff, volunteers, and community members gathered to celebrate the opening of the Garden’s new walk. Guests included Councillor Sharon Winslade and senior Council staff, who joined the Friends’ group for a shared lunch and the launch of this exciting new addition to the Garden.

The Walk was made possible thanks to funding from the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR), contributions from the Friends of ERBG, and the invaluable in-kind support of Garden staff and volunteers. Local Elder Aunty Trish Ellis played a vital role in shaping the Walk, which includes a Welcome to Country, creation and healing stories, and acknowledgement of history, inviting reflection and deeper connection to place.
We are excited to see the launch of the Nature Wellness Walk, which offers a new way to experience the restorative power of time in nature. The evidence is clear: nature connection increases
Mental resilience
A sense of purpose and meaning
Joy and happiness
Care for others and community
Overall wellbeing

Across other sites, these walks are already supporting wellbeing as part of structured therapeutic programs. Local healthcare workers guide participants through the stations, helping them slow down, reflect, and experience the restorative benefits of nature step by step, making them an ideal community health asset.
Why not try for yourself?! We invite you to get along and see why the Wellness Walk is more than a path through the Garden, it’s a pathway to wellbeing, community, and care for Country. Please enjoy…
